I don’t have any idea if this comment is relevant here, but I’m going to leave it anyway. That’s the crap shoot of blogging; people do what they will on your previously unsullied pages. Sorry about that. (not sorry enough not to do it, however)
Anyway… as a fan of live music, I am thrilled to have found your blog. One of my newfound joys of life is going to see as many live performances as I can, in as many different genres as I can locate (even better if they are free). And while my personal music collection doesn’t have much (ok, any) country, I recently saw Dawes (LA country, but a great show) and Shovels and Rope play in a small venue. And they were outstanding. Both of them.
So I don’t know if you have run across them yourself, but in case you haven’t, in the Latest Finds category, there are mine. And there are thousands of people out there right now going “THOSE are your latest finds? Catch up, woman!” I know, I know. I’m working on it.
And thanks for this blog. I have a lot of reading to do.
The nice thing about blogging is there is no right or wrong way to blog. I tend to stream whatever comes out of my head without much of a filter.
The Dawes have been a favorite of mine since I heard the album “Nothing is Wrong”. Several people have talked about Shovels & Rope and I’m gonna have to listen to them more closely real soon. I only know their song “Johnny 99” that came out as a single 45 on Third Man Records.
Thanks for following.
